Weenee Roadhouse: Authentic, High-Quality Hot Dogs in Cathedral City

Got the hot Italian sausage. It was a great dog. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. He definitely makes the place for sure. The fries were either overcooked or cooked in old oil. I lean for the latter based off past experiences of other places that didn’t change their oil very often. It’s a really good dog, however it’s impossible to walk out of the restaurant for under $20 with just a single dog, fries, and soda. I easily could have enjoyed another as I surely wasn’t full but no way I’m having a $30 lunch of just dogs and fries. Maybe a special of 2 for $15 for those with bigger appetites? I could go for that.

For such a small place, this restaurant has a lot of heart. The owner Max seems really friendly and very serious about providing the highest quality food that he can. The decor is clean and the atmosphere has a southern, cowboy sort of feel. The potions are good sized. While the food takes a little while to get prepared, it's because they cook everything fresh to order. My only complaint is that the cornbread was too dense for my taste, and the honey butter tasted awful. I'm not sure if there was something wrong with the batch of butter I had? However if you are not happy with something, just speak to Max and he will make it right for you.

Had the Cat City Dog… it was wonderful… the best dog I have ever had! I am not a big hot dog fan, but I was truly impressed…. The employees were great and very nice…I am still reliving how good it was…I will be back… place was cute and very clean also… didn’t look like the typical strip mall eatery which are usually grungy and worn out…. Good job guys

My husband and I went Saturday for the first time to this new restaurant. We were greeted warmly by the owner. Very clean and nice inside. We were told beer and wine are coming soon! We each ordered different hot dogs. I had the Chicago dog because I love relish and a little heat with the peppers. My husband had 2 kosher dogs with his own toppings. You can choose 3 toppings. Both of us loved our hot dogs. I've already decided when I go back I'll order the kraut dog or the bacon wrapped one with the avocado (forgot the name but its the first one listed on the menu.) They also have chili. I also ordered the cole slaw which was crisp and cold and slightly sweet just like I like it. All of the dogs are either kosher all beef or Nathan's all beef. Very high quality products are used. Please give this place a try. Free parking in the front.

What a great new spot! I'm not usually into hot dogs but I do like supporting local business so we went for dinner this week. Loved it! Really good food, the owner is friendly, the service wonderful. We'll be returning.

An extremely friendly place to enjoy cowboy grub! Try the chili dog, it’s the best in the valley!

Great selection of topping like red or green peppers, homemade chilly. Delicious dessert like fresh pineapple upside-down cake! The owners are the only staff, and they don't want tips! The dog was really great. I look forward to going back!

A great place for hotdogs. Ex Chicagoans and New Yorkers will find their favorites here. Excellent fresh cut fries and homemade slaw. Next trip I’ll fill up on corn dogs and chili
